Our commitment
Queen’s Key is committed to providing a website that is usable by everyone. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA(and at minimum WCAG 2.1 AA) and to embed accessibility into our design, content, and development workflow.
What we’re doing
-
Using semantic HTML, proper headings, labels, and ARIA only where needed.
-
Ensuring sufficient color contrast and visible focus states.
-
Making all interactive elements keyboard-operable.
-
Providing alt text for meaningful images and avoiding text in images.
-
Captions/subtitles for new videos; transcripts for audio where applicable.
-
Descriptive link text and consistent navigation patterns.
-
Testing with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation during releases.
-
Conformance status
The site is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. Some pages or third-party embeds may partially conform. We treat any gap as a defect and schedule a fix.
Known limitations
-
Third-party embeds (e.g., Calendly, social widgets, maps/analytics) may not fully meet WCAG.
-
Legacy PDFs or downloads (if any) may lack full tagging; accessible versions available on request.
-
User-generated content (e.g., social feeds) can vary in accessibility.
Compatibility & technical specs
This site works with the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile. It relies on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. If you use older browsers or assistive tech, some features may degrade gracefully.
Alternative formats
On request we can provide content in accessible alternative formats (e.g., tagged PDF, large-print, transcript).
Assessment approach
We use a mix of:
-
Designer and developer self-assessment,
Continuous improvement
Accessibility is part of our definition of done. We review new components before launch and re-audit key templates at least twice per year or after major changes.
